PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Traps which use sexual pheromones to attract and either capture or contain ladybugs. The same pheromone is used in other versions of our traps Ladybug Traps listed above. This trap looks like a house with windows and doors. Pheromones are added to attract foraging ladybugs. Food is included so you are able to keep them alive for several days. Empty them every few days when they fill or as needed. This is the containment trap. It is also important to understand the pheromones will only work at certain times of the year. When the adults first emerge in the late winter months, they are not thinking about reproduction. They will fly to windows and other areas where there are lights but will most likely ignore the traps. The traps work best in the early spring, generally April through June and possibly again in the fall, September through November. The response to the trap will vary from region to region due to reproduction seasons, local temperatures and species behavioral patterns. The following video highlights the Ladybug House Trap.
