PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Device which emits an audible sound that mimics Canadian Geese which are sounding an alarm or distress sound. This sound can be heard for several acres and can be used to effectively repel Geese and Ducks for up to 7 acres per unit installed. It comes with the following:
BASE UNIT - used to control the volume, how often the unit emits sound and how many speakers are actually sounding.
LOUD HORN SPEAKERS - 4 Horn speakers come with the unit, each having 100 feet of speaker wire.
110 VOLT POWER SUPPLY - Used to convert 110 volts to 12 volts, this unit needs to be plugged in for constant power.
TIMER - This Intermatic timer should be used when you have birds which are following a distinctive pattern of activity. The Base Unit should be mounted close to where you have a plug in for power. It should be wall mounted in a protected area even though it is weatherproof and sealed when the front door is closed. The Horn Speakers should be mounted in a concealed fashion behind foliage or some other natural part of the landscape. Ideally this location will effectively hide them from being seen but still heard loud and clear. This will enable them to have the biggest impact. Use of the timer should be incorporated when you know a pattern the nuisance birds are following so that you can be sure to have the device sounding before they arrive right through the time they generally leave. Using the timer will also enable you to keep the unit from sounding during the night or at other inconvenient times. There are several options available including an adaptor so that you can power the unit remotely via a deep cycle marine 12 volt battery as well as a solar panel which can be configured to constantly recharge the battery. The unit can also be ordered as a 220 volt device.
TARGET ANIMALS: Though originally designed with Canadian Geese in mind, you can use the Goose Buster to effectively repel Ducks, Sea Gulls, Heron, Egrets and Cormorants.
WHERE TO USE IT: Outside where you want to rid property of nuisance bird types listed above. Common areas include river front, lake shore, seashore, marsh land, ponds, golf courses, open fields and generally anywhere such birds are present and unwanted.
RATE OF APPLICATION: The basic unit has a volume setting which can be adjusted to handle small lots of less then an acre to up to 7 acres. The installation of two units has some type of "additive" effect which enables the two units to impact more then 20 acres when configured properly.
